Death Conversation

In 2024 we launched the Trillium Death Café, not realizing that using the name Death Café would have required us to sign an agreement with the Death Café organization. After learning that the organization doesn’t make that agreement with spiritual organizations like ours, we naturally wanted to respect their boundaries, and that’s why we changed the name of these gatherings to Death Conversations.
Our meetings will still be based on the guidelines and format of the Death Café, which started in 2011 and is now a worldwide movement. Our Trillium meetings will simply have a different name.
Death Conversations offer a safe and caring place to talk about what’s on your mind and heart about the end of life–the end of your life, the end of your loved ones’ lives, or the end of the life of anyone who has impacted you.
A participant volunteers to speak briefly about what comes up for them when they think about the end of life. The next person might continue with the same topic, or might raise another. Group members express their thoughts, feelings, concerns, and questions about death. Meetings have no planned agendas or topics, and no expected outcomes.
Death Conversations will be held monthly on Fridays and Saturdays, with a limit of 10 participants.
Rotating meeting facilitators will include End of Life Work Group members and Cielle Backstrom.

Prerequisites
If you are new to Trillium Awakening, your prerequisites are attendance at an online Trillium Awakening Introduction or participation in a Free 1-to-1 Introductory Session with a Trillium Awakening teacher.
If you are not new but haven’t participated in Trillium Awakening for some time and feel the need to be updated, you can sign up for a Free 1-to-1 Introductory Session with a Trillium Awakening teacher.

Payment Options
A contribution is suggested. Feel free to contribute at the level the amount that works best for you. Click on the ‘+’ sign to choose your number of tickets, and click on ‘Get Tickets’. In our online store, you have the option of paying with a credit/debit card, PayPal account, Google Pay and browser payments.
Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel, you must email the TA Virtual Programs Team (tavirtualsittings@gmail.com) 24 hours in advance to get full refund.
Zoom Information
Once you register, you will receive an email with your ticket. A Zoom link will be included on the ticket.
