Cielle Backstrom (teacher)

Cielle Backstrom is a well-loved teacher within the Trillium Awakening community, guiding individuals on their psycho-spiritual journeys. Her spiritual path spans over five decades, beginning in 1972 when she became a Transcendental Meditation teacher. In 1985, Cielle played a pivotal role in establishing the Liberal Catholic Church in Fairfield, Iowa. By 2002, she had joined Trillium Awakening and advanced to the role of teacher in 2006. Cielle is also trained in various modalities, including Inner Relationship Focusing, energy healing through the Four Winds Society, and Holotropic Breathwork. She offers private sessions and has co-led more than 50 weekend intensives and retreats including more than 10 retreats in Peru. She is deeply committed to supporting people in awakening to their true and total nature. When Cielle’s time is not taken up with supporting people on the path of awakening, she loves dabbling in symbolic art, which she feels is the language of the soul.
